Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on our blessings and how they inspire us to give back to our communities. This Thanksgiving, Carpenter Hospice experienced the generosity of families and individuals who kindly donated groceries, monetary donations, Thanksgiving dinners, handmade hats, and more, ensuring that our residents and their loved ones could enjoy the season’s warmth and share in a holiday meal.

Many of these donors had loved ones previously cared for at Carpenter Hospice and were moved by the compassionate care they received. The contributions were their way of showing gratitude and giving thanks.

The spirit of community is at the heart of Carpenter Hospice. As we approach the holiday season, we ask you to remember those suffering or facing difficult circumstances. We are deeply grateful to every family who thought of us at Thanksgiving— it truly brightened the day for so many. Moments like these remind us of the power of community support and the impact of thoughtful gestures. No doubt this kindness will continue to be felt long after the holiday season has passed.

As we look ahead, we invite you to join us, whether by donating or supporting our upcoming gala in February. Your support will help us continue to provide the care, comfort, and compassion our residents and their families deserve.

With Thanks
Thank you to the Lal family for loading up two vans full of goods for our kitchen. Their generous donation will help nourish residents and provide freshly baked treats for families and visitors.

Thank you to Melody Playford for donating crocheted items from her Crafty Bears business.

Thank you to Royal LePage Burloak for again making us one of their charities of choice for the annual Chili Bowl at Burlington Bowl. It was such a fun event, and seeing all of the teams dressed up for Hallowe’en is always entertaining.

Thank you to the Burlington Dads for generously donating $20,000 from their annual golf tournament and many other events throughout the year. We are so grateful!
