Integrative Wellness Program

At Carpenter Hospice, we believe in supporting the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.

Our Integrative Wellness Program offers a variety of services designed to enhance the spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental well-being of individuals with a palliative diagnosis and their unpaid caregivers.

It’s time to focus on you—let us help.

Holistic Wellness Offerings
Our program includes a wide range of group and individual supports, such as:

  • Functional Strength Sessions
Gentle, adaptive exercises to help improve mobility, strength, and confidence.
  • Yoga and Mindfulness Practices
Movement and breathing techniques that promote relaxation, balance, and inner calm.
  • Social Gatherings and Group Activities
Meaningful opportunities for connection, laughter, and support among peers.

Complementary Therapies
These supportive modalities work alongside traditional medicine to promote relaxation and well-being:

    • Reiki: A gentle energy-based practice where a trained practitioner channels healing energy through light touch. Reiki fosters deep relaxation and a peaceful sense of presence.
    • Therapeutic Touch and other integrative techniques may also be available.

One-on-One Caregiver Support
Individual counselling sessions with a registered social worker are available for caregivers, offering emotional support and practical guidance in a safe and compassionate space.

What We Offer

Individual Support Sessions

Meet with our Wellness Coordinator in person or virtually for compassionate, confidential support.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or just need someone to talk to, we’re here to listen and help.

Advanced Care Planning Support

Not sure how to start the conversation about future healthcare wishes? We’ll help you explore:

    • Advance Care Planning (ACP)
    • Substitute Decision-Making for healthcare
    • Tools and resources to begin your own ACP journey with confidence and clarity

These sessions really help me understand how things work and help me plan for the future in case I’m in need of the Hospice someday. They do a great job supporting us seniors and ensuring we have the information we need.
